Women Work Wonders Panelist: Meet Rebeca Hernandez-Espinoza

Happy to have Rebeca Hernandez-Espinoza, Assistant Director at DePaul University be 1 of 6 panelist to be part of our exciting online event.

Quote best describing her journey:

"There are uses to adversity and they don't reveal themselves until tested. Whether it's serious illness, financial hardship, or the simple constraint of parents who speak limited English, difficulty can tap unsuspected strengths. It doesn't always, of course: I've seen life beat people down until they can't get up. But I have never had to face anything that could overwhelm the native optimism and stubborn perseverance I was blessed with." - Sonia Sotomayor, My Beloved World

Such a moving statement. Especially as women minorities we face challenges with the various hats and roles we play, but it is very true that those very challenges develops you into the person you were destined to be. It will make you think differently, respond more effectively, improve your communication and ultimately help you grow.

The key to a great career is to Keep Moving forward and not letting those adversities stop you. Find another route or alternative to your goal, and just that approach alone is what helps shape you into the person you are destined to become.

Make sure to sign up for our online event happening April 30th at 7pm on Zoom. Link will be shared as we approach closer to the date of the event. Don't forget to follow us on Instagram for daily relatable postings.
